Chicago’s oldest and largest multiservice petcare facility, K9 university is seeking experienced dog trainers who can teach group classes and private lessons using positive reinforcement training methods. K9’s ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and great communication skills to convey training tips or problem solving.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional or personal dog training experience
• Great communication skills
• Experience with positive reinforcement training we do not believe in dominance, shock collars, or other aversive training methods
• Knowledge of breed temperament and behavioral challenges isn’t a requirement but a plus

Compensation

• Commission-based
• Based on training clientele that K9 generates, we expect your annual income will be more than average for trainers
