Puppy Day Training
Our dog day training is ideal for adult dogs as well as puppies. Many people prefer the dog day training option as it provides an economical solution to getting the right coaching for you and your pup. As a multi-faceted dog training facility, K9 University has incorporated all the important lessons taught in our puppy training and obedience lessons into our dog day training.
If you are the owner of a puppy, for example, our trainers will train your pup according to the principles that have been known to help puppies 10 weeks to 5 months old with basic obedience, manners, and socialization. These classes will ensure that these very young DOG DAY CAMP students become happy, healthy, polite, and housebroken pets that you can be proud of.
For older dogs, our basic obedience dog training techniques are used to teach the basic skills such as sit, down, stay, come, watch, touch, and leave it. Depending on your unique needs, we can incorporate training from learning manners (for example proper leash behavior and barking) to managing distractions.
In Day Camp, as well as in all our training programs, we use positive behavioral training techniques to build your puppy or adult dog’s manners and confidence.
What a Day at Dog Day Training Academy Looks Like
A Typical Day
Your dog arrives in the morning and spends the day at K9 University Chicago working with a trainer on one-on-one lessons, mixed with supervised socialization time and rest breaks. Owners get daily photos, video, and communication on progress throughout the day. At pickup, your trainer walks you through what was covered and what to reinforce at home before the next session.
Getting to and from Day Training
Dog day training academy in Chicago is available with or without transportation. If drop-off and pickup don’t fit your schedule, K9U’s dog shuttle service can handle the ride both ways, the same shuttle used for dog daycare and boarding clients.

What Do We Need to Get Started with Dog Day Training Academy
The following are the required Vaccinations for any K9U service: Distemper, negative fecal test within a year, Parvo, Rabies, Bordetella, Lepto. Please be sure to fill in the evaluation form thoroughly for us to have a current record of these for our files.

Pablo is an established trainer and business founder of multiple dog care companies with specialties in training, boarding and canine nutrition.
As a participant in several highly regarded training seminars, Pablo enjoys working with all dog breeds including high energy dogs where he uses soft sports, such as Agility Training, to provide these active dogs with a positive way to focus their energy and modify unwanted behaviors. Along with his customized approach to training based on each dog’s individual needs, Pablo creates a unique comprehensive training environment for every client.
Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, Pablo offers Private Training and all levels of Group Obedience Training in Spanish. He is also very active with Board and Train camps providing Spanish commands for dogs as needed for those clients who prefer to speak Spanish at home.

Jon has been in the dog industry in Chicago for 13 years. He started off running his own dog walking company and made his way into dog training close to 10 years ago. He has been training dogs in the Chicago land area for around 10 years in doggy daycares and also privately. Jon believes training dogs is not only about working with your dog and their needs, but also being able to properly communicate dog behavior so you the dog owner can better connect with trust and understand how to work with your dog throughout its life.
