Dog training is strongly recommended by many veterinarians. At K9U Chicago we believe training is necessary for the safety of your pet and those around you in a busy city like Chicago. We provide K9 training classes at every level of ability.

How / Where do I start?
To start please register on our website, upload picture of your doggie, attach vaccinations records to your profile and request reservation. We will send you confirmation email within one business day. If you would like to schedule daycare with transport please contact our office first to make sure we provide transport services in your area.
Why daycare is good for my dog?
Dogs have a lot of fun, they learn how to interact with other dogs and burn their energy out. It also helps to boost immune system and will help to shed a few pounds for the dogs who need it.
Can My puppy come to daycare?
Puppy can start daycare after he/she got two rounds of booster vaccines. Puppies should have strong immune system before they interact with other dogs.
How does daycare benefits me?
After working all day you don’t need to rush home to take your bursting with energy dog for a long walk or worry that your dog destroyed or chewed on your furniture, shoes or other possessions. Instead you can pick up your pup at K9U Chicago or better yet, have the K9U Chicago Dog Shuttle pick-up and drop off your pooch at home. When you get home you can devote your evenings to other equally important or fun agendas.
How do I know if daycare is right for my dog?
Daycare may not be right for every dog, it is great for social dogs, energetic dogs and dogs like to be around people and dogs. Daycare is also good for assertive dogs or hyperactive dogs, we offer extra activities like individual play or group play conditioning to help them focus their energy and group play manners. K9U Chicago has trained specialists to work with dogs that may need individualized play sessions.
What breed of dogs are accepted at K9U Chicago
All dogs are welcome at K9U Chicago. We do a careful evaluation of each dog to understand his/her temperament and any potentially problematic behavior. We then match the dog with the right group for the temperament, size, age, breed. Our specialists may also recommend individualized or group conditioning activities to help your pooch work on any problematic situations.
Do I need to schedule evaluation before first time sending my dog to daycare?
No, we evaluate all dogs on the first day of daycare. We do a careful evaluation of each dog to understand his/her temperament and any potentially problematic behavior. We then match the dog with the right group for the temperament, size, age, breed.
What Vaccination is required at K9U Chicago or by my Vet?
The followings are the required Vaccinations for any K9U service: Distemper, Parvo, Rabies, Bordatella. Please be sure to upload to your online profile, fax or email us current record of these for our files. We also strongly recommend getting H3N8 vaccine and regular fecal test(every 3-6 months).
Does K9U require that I neuter/spay my dog to come to Daycare?
We accept unneutered / unspayed dogs of the age 10 months or younger. After 10 months if your dog is still unneutered / unspayed she/he will have to be separated from the main group and mandatory attending dog group conditioning or individual play/exercise every time at daycare.
Do you charge extra for feeding my dog or administering medications?
We do not charge extra for feeding using food you send with your dog and/or administering medication. We only charge $2.50 fee per meal if you want us to feed using house(facility) food.
Should I bring my dog’s food from home or do you provide food?
You can bring your own food or we can provide house food for $2.50 fee per meal.
How are dogs separated in the play groups?
We separate dogs by size, age and temperament.
Do you offer any discounts on daycare?
We offer 10-pack and 20-pack daycare packages. You can purchase them from online profile page. Contact the office if you need assistance.
Do you have camera to watch my dog while at daycare?
We only have surveillance cameras, webcams are on wishlist.
What if my dog doesn’t like to play with other dogs?
We offer Individual Activities Services and ask that you enroll your dog in Individual Activities. This service is for dogs who can't play in groups, are reactive, and/or Unaltered (5 months or older). Our trainers will be work with your dog. This service will include one or more activities depending on dog special needs: Fetching, Treadmill, Tugging, Agility Equipment, or Customized Group to improve social skills.
If you are interested you can book a session with one of our trainers to work on your dog social skills.
Do the dogs really rest during nap time?
We have dog beds throughout our facility and if dog gets tired he/her can always laydown or take a nap in playroom. Each dog will be assigned a kennel with kuranda bed and fresh water.
Can my dog be trained while they are at daycare?
Yes, K9U Chicago offers several programs for your pooch to be trained while at daycare, including Individual Activities session, Day Training Camp. Check out our Training Services for the variety of programs classes we offer to meet the specific needs of your pooch.
Can my dog be injured at daycare?
Sometimes dogs can play a bit rough. We are doing everything to avoid it from happening, we divide dogs by sizes, behavior. Staff is supervising dogs at all times. However accidents can happen.
What do you do if a dog gets sick or injured?
We will take dog to the vet and contact the owner immediately.
Where does my dog go to the bathroom?
We take dogs to the outside area where dogs go to the bathroom.
How do you keep your facility clean?
Our staff constantly cleaning and disinfecting facility 24/7.
Are there specific drop off/pick up hours for daycare?
Yes, our pick up time 6am-9am, drop off 1.30pm-4.30pm. We will provide more specific time frames when we will be accepting your reservation.
There is a lot of barking when I drop off my dog. Is it always like this?
You hear a lot of barking because dogs know that somebody came to the facility to drop off / pick up the dog and they get exited. When there are no clients in the facility dogs get a lot quitter.
Do you shuttle service on the weekends?
No, we only have shuttle available mon-fri
